IT STARTS WTIH CARRAGEEN MOSS
Our story begins with Irish sea moss and a tradition passed down
through generations. Inspired by founder Edel’s grandmother’s use of
carrageen as a natural remedy, Óir Tonics was created to bring this
powerful Irish ingredient into everyday life in a simple, modern way.
SHARED WITH LOVED ONES
What began in the kitchen was first shared with family and friends. As
more people began making Moss Boss Tonic part of their daily routine,
word spread, and what started as something personal quickly became
something we knew was worth sharing more widely.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
From the beginning, we wanted to combine tradition with research.
Working with Irish laboratories and ingredient partners, we have
continued to develop and refine our products, exploring the nutritional
potential of seaweed and wholefood ingredients while keeping
simplicity at the heart of every recipe.
THE ÓIR STORE
As our community grew, so did Óir. We opened The Óir Store alongside
our production facility in Ennis, Clare and launched oirtonics.com,
giving customers across Ireland and beyond a place to discover the
brand, learn more about our products and make Óir part of their
everyday routine.
THE FULL RANGE
Moss Boss grew from one original tonic into a complete range designed
around different everyday wellness needs. Today, our four varieties
span gut and immune health, bones and joints, sleep and recovery, and
mental clarity, alongside a growing collection of teas, skincare, home
and lifestyle products.
THE ÓIR HOUSE
Our story has now grown into a place of its own. The Óir House in
Ballyvaughan brings together food, retail, wellness and community in
the heart of the Burren, creating a destination where people can
experience the Óir mission, discover local produce and take a little
more time for themselves
